Article 227: Power of superintendence over all courts by the High Court
In plain words
Every High Court has superintendence over all courts and tribunals in its territory. It can call for returns, make general rules and forms for their practice and proceedings, prescribe how their books and accounts are kept, and settle fees for their officers and lawyers.
- Such rules, forms and fee tables must be consistent with existing law and need the Governor's prior approval.
- This does not cover courts or tribunals set up under laws relating to the Armed Forces.
