Judgment

O R D E R [1] None appeared on behalf of the petitioners. Mr. Shyam Sharma, learned GA appeared on behalf of the respondents. [2] It has been submitted by the learned GA appearing for the respondent that the only relief sought for by the petitioners in this writ petition is for issuing a direction to the respondent to consider and dispose of the representation dated 11-02-2025 submitted by the petitioner No. 2 to the Commissioner (Revenue)/ Secretary (Land Resource), Government of Manipur and to dispose of the same. [3] The learned GA submitted that he has no objection in disposing of this writ petition by issuing a direction to the respondent to consider the said representation and to dispose of the same by issuing a speaking order within a stipulated period. [4] On perusal of the record, it is found that the petitioner No. 2 submitted a representation dated 11-02-2025 to the Commissioner (Revenue)/ Secretary (Land Resource), Government of Manipur, for redressing the grievances raised by the petitioners in the present writ petition. It has been pleaded by the petitioners in the present writ

petition that the said representation is still pending for consideration and disposal by the respondent. [5] Taking into consideration the submission advanced by the learned GA appearing for the respondent and on perusal of the record, this court is of the considered view that it will be in the interest of justice to issue the following directions:-

(i) The Commissioner (Revenue)/ Secretary (Land Resources), Government of Manipur, is hereby directed to consider the representation dated 11-02-2025 submitted by the petitioner No. 2 on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable act/ rules/ guidelines and to dispose of the same by issuing a speaking order;

(ii) It is made clear that the whole process should be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order; and

(iii) The respondent is also directed to communicate any order passed by him in connection with the said representation to the petitioner No. 2 within a period of two weeks from the date of passing such an order.

With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition is disposed of.
