What the site is
VoxJuris is a free information service that presents Indian court judgments, bare Acts and explanations written by us. It is not a law firm, is not a substitute for legal advice, and is not connected with any court, government body or law publisher. Please read the disclaimer.
Using the content
- Court judgments are public records. Where we obtained them under a licence, such as the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence that covers the High Court dataset, that licence applies to our copies. See sources and licence.
- Text we wrote ourselves, such as plain-language explanations, commentary and summaries, may be quoted with a link back to the page. Please do not copy it in bulk or republish the whole site.
- Please do not use scripts or bots to download the site in bulk, to overload it, or to get around any limit we set. We may block addresses that do.
Accounts
You may create a free account. Keep your password private and give us accurate details. We may close an account that breaks these terms or abuses the site. The privacy page explains what we store.
No warranty
We work to keep the site accurate, but text is produced from official PDFs by software and by AI-assisted tools, and it may contain mistakes or be out of date. The site is provided as it is, without any promise that it is complete, correct or always available. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss that results from relying on it. Always check the official copy of a judgment or Act.
Links and advertising
The site may link to other websites we do not control, and may show advertising, including ads served by Google. We are not responsible for other sites or for the products and services advertised. See the advertising section of the privacy page.
Corrections and takedown
If a page contains a mistake, or names a person whose identity should be protected, please contact us. We handle requests as described on the privacy page.
