Case status and CNR lookup
Every case in India's courts has a 16-character CNR number, for example DLHC010765242018. The first four letters name the court and the rest is the case.
Find a judgment here by CNR number
This finds judgments and reasoned orders we hold from the High Courts. Most cases are not here, because we keep final judgments and reasoned orders, not every hearing.
Live status of a case
Hearing dates, the next listing and the stage of a pending case are published only on the official eCourts services, which ask for a captcha on each search. We cannot copy live case status into VoxJuris, so please use the official sites:
- eCourts High Court services: case status, orders and cause lists for the High Courts.
- eCourts district court services: the same for district and taluka courts.
On a High Court judgment page here, the CNR number is shown as a button you can click to copy and paste straight into those sites.
