The members of the petitioner started land development works and fenced by iron post and barbwire around the land since the year 1960 onwards by expending huge amount of money so that the same could be used for many public purposes exclusively for the benefit and welfare of the local populace. By an allotment order dated 15.10.1966 of the Settlement officer, Manipur, an area of 0.02 acre recorded under C.S. Dag No.5 of Village No.58-Thongju was allotted to the petitioner under Section 14(2) of MLR and LR Act, 1960 and the petitioner has also paid necessary premium of Rs.80/- to the Government on 10.11.1966 and necessary records of right by way of jamabandi and Dag chitta were also prepared in the name of the petitioner for the said land.

(new) covered by C.S. Dag No.4 and 5 having a total area of 1.04 acres situated within the Revenue Village No.58-Thongju in favour of the petitioner. Hence, the writ petition.
