Judgment
O R D E R [Order of the Court was made by DR.G.JAYACHANDRAN, J.] Alleging that the Transport Corporation buses are being halted in the motels located on the Highways for getting food at free of cost for the crew members, this writ petition is filed.
¶2The specific allegation of the petitioner, who is appearing as a party-in-person, is that in Trichy to Madurai and Madurai to Tirunelveli route, the Transport Corporation buses are being halted in the motels by the crew members only to get free foods. Therefore, there must be a mandamus directing the respondents not to halt the Transport Corporation buses at those motels. The petitioner further states that by halting the Transport Corporation buses by the crew members in these motels, the passengers are put to mental agony.
¶3On perusal of the records, we find no merit in this writ petition. In a long distance route, for the sake of passengers as well as the crew members, the buses are being halted for getting some relief from tiredness, to have some snacks or food of their choice and also to attend nature's calls. The larger interest of the passengers is predominant. The allegation of the petitioner that the motel managements are providing food to the crew members at free of cost and only for the sake of the crew members, the Transport Corporation buses are being halted at the motels is mischievous and condemnable. Hence, we are not inclined to entertain this writ petition.
¶4Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. The petitioner is warned not to file public interest litigation of this nature henceforth. If he continues to file public interest litigation of this nature, he will be prohibited from filing any public interest litigation in future. No costs.
