O R D E R Ms. K. Ashwini Devi, learned Standing Counsel, accepts notice for respondents 1 and 6 to 9. Mr. Akhil Akbar Ali, learned Standing Counsel, accepts notice for respondents 2 to 5.

¶2The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to respondents 1 to 9 to consider his representation dated 08.05.2026. In the said representation, the petitioner stated that he is the owner of Flat No. P-9, P-40, Narmadha Apartment, 6th Avenue, P Block, Anna Nagar, Chennai – 600040. According to the petitioner, the apartment consists of 11 residential units, and respondents 10 and 11 have let out Flat No. P-2 Page Nos.4/7 for commercial use, though it is approved only for residential purposes. The petitioner, therefore, requested the official respondents to take appropriate action. His grievance is that no action has been taken on the representation.

¶3The learned State Counsel appearing for the first respondent, on instructions, submitted that the first respondent, along with the second respondent, will inspect the premises. It was further submitted that if the inspection reveals that the flat is being used for a purpose other than the one for which it was sanctioned, appropriate action will be taken in accordance with law.

¶4Recording the above submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2026 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
