Judgment

ORDER The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking a direction to respondents 1 to 4 to inspect the property belonging to the fifth respondent and verify whether the demolition of the structure standing thereon was carried out in accordance with law.

¶2On 24.01.2025, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondents 1 to 4 produced photographs before this Court showing that the obstructions complained of in the writ petition had been removed by the authorities. As on date, it is not in dispute that the building standing on the subject property has already been demolished. Page3 of 5

¶3The petitioner apprehends that the fifth respondent may put up a fresh construction on the property without following the due process of law. Such an apprehension is premature and unfounded. It is well settled that any construction can be undertaken only after obtaining the necessary approvals and in accordance with the applicable statutory provisions.

¶4In view of the above, no further directions are called for. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. 08-07-2026 Index: Yes/No ak To
