06.11.2017 Respondent no. 2 alleged in the FIR that some unknown person was troubling her by making unwarranted calls. She gave his mobile number from which she had been receiving calls. During the investigation, it was revealed that petitioner was making such calls. Petitioner and respondent no. 2 are related to each other. It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no. 2 have settled the matter amicably with the intervention of their family members. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Anuj of Police Station Okhla Industrial Area. She says that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion on 27th May, 2017 before the Mediation Centre, Saket Courts, New Delhi. She submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further and the same may be quashed. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice FIR no. 675/2015 under Section 509 IPC registered at Police Station Okhla Industrial Area and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti.
