¶1Notice. Mr. N. Waziri, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of Respondents.
¶2It appears to this Court that the only reason why the licences have not been granted to the Petitioners is that they do not have no objection certificate ('NOC') oh a from the Fire Department. The Fire Department did in fact inspect each of the Petitioners' shops and had listed out certain defects. It is not clear whether the inspection report of the Fire Department was communicated to each of the Petitioners.
¶3For avoiding any fuither delay, this Court directs that within next two days.each of the Petitioners will attend the office of the Station House Officer ('SHO'), Police Station Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi and get a copy of the inspection report of the Fire Department in each of the Petitioners' cases. It will be open to the Petitioners to rectiSr the defects.within next one day thereafter and report back to the SHO about having rectified the defects. The Fire Department will thereafter undertake another inspection of the Petitioners' shop and deliver an NOC or otherwise to the SHO within one day thereafter.
¶4If the Petitioners are still aggrieved by the decision of the Fire Department not granting licence for any reason, it will be open to them to seek appropriate remedies, including appearing before the Joint Commissioner, Delhi Police, that may be available to them in law.
¶5The petitions are disposed of in the above terms.
¶6Order be given dasti under the signature of the Court ocToBER 260 2010 rk Master. \L'- * \_? S.MURALIDHAR, J
