ORAL ORDER Heard Sri.A.T.Mallya, learned counsel for the petitioner.

¶2This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the Court of IV Additional Principal Family Judge, Family Court, Bengaluru (hereinafter referred to as the 'Family Court') to dispose of M.C.No.1846/2017 expeditiously which is pending within a time frame.

¶3Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is the husband of the respondent. The petitioner filed M.C.No.1846/2017 seeking for dissolution of marriage. It is submitted that, the respondent filed an application - I.A No.9 seeking permission to adduce her evidence through video conferencing and the learned counsel for petitioner had no objection to allow the application. However, the Family Court adjourned the matter to 12.02.2026 reserving it for orders on the

application. On 12.02.2026, as the Presiding Officer was on leave, the matter was adjourned to 26.02.2026. On

26.02.2026, when the matter was called out, it was recorded in the order sheet as there was representation, the matter was posted to 04.06.2026 to hear further on I.A No.9.

¶4The learned counsel further submitted that the respondent is presently residing abroad and is not cooperating for the early disposal of the case and for one or the other reason, the respondent is dragging the proceeding since 2017 and being aggrieved by the same, this writ petition is filed.

¶5Record discloses justification in the submission that is made by learned counsel for the petitioner. Therefore, this Court considers desirable to dispose of the writ petition and give directions. Hence, the following: ORDER

(i) Writ petition is disposed of.

(ii) The Court of IV Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Bengaluru is directed to take all steps for disposal of M.C.No.1846/2017 as expeditiously as possible.

(iii) This Court is not issuing the notice to the respondent as no adverse orders are passed and disposed of the petition in the interest of both the parties.

(iv) As the writ petition is disposed of without notice to respondent, Family Court is directed to serve copy of this order to respondent so as to give notice to respondent, about filing of this petition and its disposal.

(v) Registry to forward copy of this order to the concerned Court forthwith.
