2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner, who had retired from service, is entitled to the aforesaid retirement benefits. However, despite submitting a representation dated

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied if this Court issues a direction to the competent authority to consider the petitioner's representation, dated

24.07.2019, and pass appropriate orders thereon within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered and disposed of by the respondents in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5.In view of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, directs the authority concerned to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 24.07.2019, and pass appropriate orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and settle the terminal benefits, if the petitioner is otherwise eligible. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. There shall be no order as to costs. [M.D.I.,J.] & [N.D.K.,J.]
