¶2The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner was found in possession of 1.200 kilograms of Ganja. Hence, the complaint.

¶3The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been in judicial custody since 23.07.2026 for the alleged possession of 1.2 kilograms of ganja. He further submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that he is ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed to grant bail to the petitioner.

¶4The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police opposed the grant of bail and reiterated the case of the prosecution, stating that the petitioner was found in possession of banned contraband of 1.200 kilograms of Ganja. He further submitted that the petitioner has one previous involvement pending against him under the Indian Penal Code

¶6Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on both sides, it is seen that though the petitioner has one previous cases pending against him, and taking note of the fact that the quantity of ganja allegedly recovered from him is an intermediate quantity, further custody of the petitioner is not required for the purpose of investigation. Hence, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, subject to certain conditions.

¶7Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) with two sureties, for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate Court - IV, Coimbatore, and on further conditions that: [a] the sureties shall affix their photographs and Left Thumb Impression in the Application for Surety ship [Judicial Form No.46 annexed to 'The Criminal Rules of Practice, 2019'].
