Page2 of 6

¶2The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 1,780 packets of "Hans" and "Coollip" banned tobacco products. Hence, the case was registered against him.

¶3The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner has been in judicial confinement since

¶4The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent strongly opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner on the ground that a huge quantity of banned tobacco products was seized from his possession. He further submitted that the petitioner is a habitual offender with five previous cases recorded against him, out of which four cases are similar in nature. Hence, he prayed for the dismissal of the bail petition.

¶5Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the State and perused the materials available on record. Page3 of 6
