Jainullabdeen Haja Najumudeen v. The Commissioner of Police

O R D E R [Order of the Court was made by M.SUNDAR, J.] Captioned 'Habeas Corpus Petition' ('HCP' for the sake of brevity) is listed under the cause list caption 'FOR WITHDRAWAL' at the instance of learned counsel for HCP petitioner. To be noted, learned counsel on record for HCP petitioner has given a letter to the Registry saying that he has instructions from HCP petitioner to withdraw the captioned HCP as the absentee has since returned home.

¶2Today, learned counsel on record has made an endorsement in the case file and a scanned reproduction of the same is as follows:

¶3In the light of the narrative thus far, captioned HCP is disposed of as closed / withdrawn. There shall be no order as to costs. Though obvious we make it clear that we are not expressing any view or opinion on the merits of the matter.
