ORDER (Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the official respondents made a submission that the encroachment in entirety has been removed.

2.In view of the fact that the encroachments have already been removed, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken in respect of the grounds raised in the writ petition. It is needless to state that the Government authorities are bound to protect the public properties and to prevent any further encroachments over the government lands.

3.In the result, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. (S.M.S., J.) & (L.V.G., J.)
