ORDER Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing under the Caption for clarification.

¶2The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the respondents have refused to grant permission for conducting the other rituals as stated in the order. He further submitted that the petitioner has filed an affidavit before this Court stating he would not conduct ''Aadal Padal'' and the relevant portion is extracted hereunder:- ''I respectfully state that, however, interpreting the order made by this Court on 13.10.2023, that this Hon'ble Court had permitted only the Kumbabishekam and connected rituals, the police had citing a possible breach of peace, declined to grant permission at the instance of miscreants. The Court had directed grant of police protection and as a part of celebration, we only intend to exhibit the Valli Thirumanam Drama in the Kalaiarangam situated in front of the temple at 10.00 p.m., I undertake that the said drama programme will be conducted without usage of any verbal or visual obscenity or in a way affront to the dignity of women, The said programme would also not contain any audio or visual representation offending any community. It will be purely a drama programme and not a '' Aadal Paadal'' programme. As trustee conducting the Kumbabishekam in a temple, we will ensure that the programme is conducted responsibly as one suitable to be displayed in the temple. I hereby undertake the above and specifically provide that the trustee would be responsible in case of any breach of the above said undertaking.''

¶3The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that except ''Aadal Paadal'' the other rituals may be allowed.

¶4Therefore, this Court is directing the petitioner to conduct the Kumba Abishekam and other rituals and programs like Valli Thirumanan Drama and Rama Kadhai and other traditional programs except ''Aadal Paadal''. sd/- 11/09/2025
