O R D E R ********** (Order of the Court was made by D.BHARATHA CHAKRAVARTHY, J.) This Public Interest Litigation is filed with a prayer to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to initiate legal action based on the petitioner's representation, dated 23.11.2022 and to stop illegal activities in the name of community with regard to erection and installation of flag posts, placards, name boards etc., in the main road and main streets of Udayanpatti, K.K.Nagar, K.Sathanur, Trichy District.

¶2Mr.C.M.Arumugam, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in the name of community, unauthorized flag posts are erected in the past and are also attempted to be erected and as a matter of fact, already criminal cases have been registered against two warring fractions. Only in that background, this Public Interest Litigation is filed.

¶3Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Government Pleader, on instructions, would submit that as a matter of fact, no permission whatsoever has been granted for erection of any flag posts or hoardings. As per his instructions, no such flag posts or hoardings exist as on date. In future also, it would be seen that no unauthorized structure in the name of community is erected by any person.

¶4In view of such undertaking, the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed. Recording the same, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
