ORDER The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.03.2024.

¶2The case of the petitioner is that she submitted a representation dated

23.03.2024, seeking the issuance of patta in her name for lands measuring 0.13 cents in S.F. No. 314/7 and 0.16 cents in S.F. No. 360/9, situated at Pallawada Village, Gummidipoondi Taluk, Thiruvallur District. However, the same has not been considered till date by the 2nd respondent. Aggrieved by this inaction on the part of the 2nd respondent, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition. Page2 of 5

¶3The learned Government Counsel appearing for respondent Nos. 1 and 2 submitted that, acting upon the petitioner's representation, the respondents have already commenced the enquiry. A fresh hearing date has been scheduled for

07.07.2026, and appropriate orders will be passed by respondent Nos. 1 and 2 in due course.

¶4Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the officials respondents.

¶5Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the 2nd respondent to complete the enquiry and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law regarding the issuance of patta for the lands measuring 0.13 cents in S.F. No. 314/7 and 0.16 cents in S.F. No. 360/9, situated at Pallawada Village, Gummidipoondi Taluk, Thiruvallur District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 23.03.2024. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Page3 of 5
