29.08.2024

Heard Mr. Mr. Lalbiaknunga Hnamte, learned counsel for the petitioner along with Ms. Zairemsangpuii, learned CGC appearing for the respondents. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that they have received a letter dated 18th July, 2024 from the respondent No.3, wherein certain documents have been called for which indicates that the respondents are taking steps for payment of the pension entitled to the petitioner. The learned counsel for the petitioner thus submits that the instant writ petition may be withdrawn since the respondents are taken positive steps for payment of the pension due to him. Ms. Zairemsangpuii, learned CGC submits that if the documents called for from the petitioner are available, steps to release the pension of the petitioner as prayed for will be taken by the respondents. In view of the above, the instant writ petition stands disposed of on the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner for withdrawal of the said writ petition with a liberty to file afresh, if so advised.
