Heard Mr. A. Sarma, learned counsel for the petitioner, who submits that the petitioner is aggrieved for having not been selected to the post of Constable (GD) in the Central Armed Police Forces in the selection process initiated by the Staff Selection Commission through an Advertisement published on 21.07.2018. At the outset, Ms. S. Baruah, learned CGC representing the respondents submits that the writ petition is hit by delay and laches and in similar writ petitions, this Court had dismissed the writ petitions on account of delay and laches. A similar order may be passed in the instant writ petition. In support of her submission, she has produced the Order dated 08.11.2024 passed in WP(C) No. 5283/2024 (Sansuma Boro -Vs-Union of India & 8 Ors.). In view of above, the instant writ petition is also found to be hit by delay and laches and accordingly, the same is dismissed.
