¶1Heard Ms. S. Ahmed, the learned counsel for the petitioner and also heard Mr. R.J. Baruah, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the State respondent Page No.# 2/2 no. 1.

¶2It is submitted by Ms. Ahmed that the appellant died on 29.05.2018 and in pursuant to order dated 21.11.2022 the learned engaged counsel tried to get a copy of the death certificate but they could not contact the appellant's side till date.

¶3However, from the record it is seen that the death report is already been collected by the Registry from O.C. Ramnathpur Police Station, Hailakandi wherein also it is reported that the appellant, namely, Jahir Uddin Laskar, son of Nizam Uddin Laskar of Dariarghat Jamira Pt. IV Dubatangia PS-Ramnathpur died on 29.05.2018.

¶4The present appeal accordingly stands abated on the death of the appellant.

¶5The criminal appeal stands disposed of.
