Heard Mr. H. Buragohain, learned counsel for the applicant. Also heard Mr. G.N. Sahewalla, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. G. Khandelia, learned counsel for the respondents No.3 and 4. By filing this application, the applicant has prayed for striking of the name of the petitioner No.1 from the array of parties in the connected WP(C) 4557/2017. Having considered the submissions of the learned counsel for the applicant and also considering that the applicant is no longer interested to pursue the said writ petition as well as the prayer is not being opposed by the learned counsel for the opposite party/respondent, I deem it appropriate to allow this application. Accordingly, the name of the applicant/petitioner No.1 be strike of from the array of parties of petitioners in WP(C) 4557/2017. I.A. stands allowed and disposed of.
