ORDER

14.12.2024 (K.R. Surana, J)

Mr. Moakumzuk, Manager of United India Insurance Co. Ltd. along with Mr. T. Kalita, learned counsel of Insurance is present. The respondent no.1/claimant, namely, Smt. Tripti Hazarika, has appeared along with Mr. Mr. S. Singh, her learned counsel.

¶2Both sides have agreed that the pre-settlement was held between the parties and the appellant has agreed to pay a sum of Rs.17,60,000/- (Rupees seventeen lakh sixty thousand only) as full and final settlement of the all claims of the respondent no.1/claimant against the judgment and award dated 22.07.2024, passed by the learned Member, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal-3, Kamrup(M) in MAC Case No.333/2017.

¶3Accordingly, the matter is settled on compromise in terms of the pre-settlement/compromise slip for the National Lok Adalat, which is made as a part of record.

¶4Both the parties shall put their signature in the pre-settlement compromise slip as token of acceptance for the settlement. Page No.# 4/4

¶5Accordingly, United India Insurance Co. Ltd. shall deposit the settlement amount of Rs.17,60,000/- (Rupees seventeen lakh sixty thousand only) in favour of the respondent no.1/claimant before the Registry of the Court within a period of 30 (thirty) days from the date of this settlement order, failing which the amount shall carry interest @ 9% per annum till the date of deposit.

¶6On such deposit being made, the Registry of the Court shall disburse the said amount in favour of the respondent no.1/claimant, namely, Smt. Tripti Hazarika, on satisfaction of her identity.

¶7On furnishing proof of the deposit of the entire settlement amount, the Registry shall release the statutory deposit made by the respondent.

¶8The matter is disposed of in this Lok Adalat.
