Heard Mr. H. Ali, learned counsel for the applicant. Also heard Mr. G. Sarma, learned standing counsel for the FT matters; Mr. P. Sarma, learned Addl. Senior Govt. Advocate for State respondent; Ms. M. Bedi, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Ms. P. Baruah, learned standing counsel for the ECI.

¶2This interlocutory application has been filed for impleading the District Page No.# 3/3 Commissioner, Barpeta and the Superintendent of Police (B), Barpeta as respondent nos. 7 and 8 in the connected writ petition.

¶3The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that during trial, Bajali district was bifurcated from Barpeta and the address of the petitioner falls under Barpeta district. Hence, the case records is available with the Superintendent of Police (B), Barpeta.

¶4The learned standing counsel for the FT matter submits that he has received instruction that the case records are available with the Superintendent of Police (B), Barpeta.

¶5Accordingly, this interlocutory application stands allowed.

¶6The applicant is permitted to implead the District Commissioner, Barpeta and the Superintendent of Police (B), Barpeta as respondent nos. 7 and 8 in the connected writ petition by providing freshly typed cause title to AOJ (Civil Rule Pending) Section for incorporation in the connected WP(C) 671/2024. Thereafter, the said writ petition be listed before the Court.
