Heard Shri S. Nath, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Shri T.C. Chutia, learned Addl. Senior Government Advocate, Assam. The claim in this present writ petition is for a direction for consideration for appointment on compassionate ground. This Court has however noticed an inordinate delay from the date of death which is about a decade and the present cause of action has been sought to be raised now which does appear to be in sync with the objective of the scheme. At this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he would withdraw this writ petition. Writ petition accordingly stands dismissed on withdrawal.
