Heard Mr. AHMR Choudhury, learned counsel for the applicant/petitioner. Also heard Ms. K. Deka, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Ms. R. Devi, learned CGC, Mr. G. Sarma, learned Standing Counsel, F.T., Ms. P. Barooah, learned Standing Counsel, ECI, and Mr. H.K. Hazarika, learned Government Advocate, Assam. 2] Mr. AHMR Choudhury, learned counsel for the applicant/petitioner submits that this application has been filed for correcting typographical error occurring in the cause-title of the connected writ petition i.e. WP(C) No.3786/2024 in respect of the address of the petitioner, wherein it has been inadvertently mentioned that the petitioner is a resident of district Dhubri (Assam). It is submitted that the applicant who is the petitioner in the WP(C) No.3786/2024 is a resident of the district of Bongaigaon. Accordingly, it is prayed that the applicant be permitted to file an amended cause title of WP(C) No.3786/2024 before the Registry. 3] As the correction sought for do not touch upon the merit of the case and Page No.# 3/3 also not being objected by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents, the Interlocutory Application is allowed. 4] The applicant/petitioner shall file the amended cause-title in respect of the address of the petitioner before the Registry and thereafter, the Registry will make necessary corrections in the cause-title, both in the system and in the writ petition. 5] Accordingly, Interlocutory Application stands disposed of.
