02.08.2024. Heard Shri A Tewari, learned counsel for the petitioner. This petition has been instituted against the following respondents: "1. Assam Olympic Association, Represented by its Secretary, RG Baruah Sports Complex, D.T.R.P Indoor Stadium, Ground Floor, Nehru Stadium, Ulubari Guwahati-781007.

2.District Sports Association, Silchar, Affiliated to all State Associations & Registered under Societies Act, XXI 1860 Represented by its President ShibaBrata Dutta.

¶3Sri Atanu Bhattacharjee General Secretary District Sports Association Silchar."

The subject matter of this case pertains to an order of suspension of the petitioner by the respondent no. 2. This Court has also examined the Composition of the Management in Clause-9 of the Constitution of the Association which consists of private persons. In the opinion of this Court, the maintainability of the writ petition is itself doubtful. At this stage, Shri Tewari, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawing this writ petition with a liberty to approach the appropriate forum. The writ petition accordingly stands dismissed on withdrawal, however, with liberty to approach the appropriate forum. Page No.# 3/3 The dismissal of the writ petition should not be construed to have passed any observation on the merits of the case of the petitioner.
