ORDER

09.09.2024 Heard Mr. F.A. Laskar, learned counsel for the applicants; Mr. A. Chaliha, learned counsel for the opposite party Nos. 1 & 2; Mr. B. Talukdar, learned counsel for the respondent Nos. 3 & 4; Mr. B. Deuri, learned counsel for the respondent Nos. 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11.

¶2This interlocutory application, is preferred by the applicants for impleadment of Department of Personal – Personal (B), represented by the Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam as respondent No. 11 in the connected writ petition for proper and effective adjudication of the matter and to secure the ends of justice.

¶3Mr. Laskar, learned counsel for the applicants submits that impleadment of the Department of Personal – Personal (B), represented by the Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam is very much necessary as respondent No. 11 in the connected writ petition for proper and effective adjudication of the matter and to secure the ends of justice and therefore, it is contended to allow this application.

¶4The learned counsel for all the respondents submits that they have no Page No.# 3/3 objection in the event of allowing this application.

¶5Having considered the submissions of learned counsel for both the parties and also considering the facts and circumstances on the record, this court is of the view that the Department of Personal – Personal (B), represented by the Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam is a necessary party in the connected writ petition for proper and effective adjudication of the matter and to secure the ends of justice.
