14.09.2024 This is an appeal filed by the appellant-claimant against the judgment and award dated 15.02.2016 passed by the learned member, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Morigaon (for short MACT, Morigaon) in MAC Case No. 57/2013 praying for enhancement of the awarded amount of Rs.12,80,563/-. Shri A Munin Chowdhury, Regional Manager, United India Insurance Company Ltd. (Insurance Company) and the claimant nos. 1-Smti. Roshmi Boro; 2-Shri Rantu Moni Boro and 3-Shri Sanju Boro along with their counsel, Shri M Talukdar are present today i.e., 14.09.2024 in the National Lok Adalat. It is submitted that an amount of Rs.14,09,000/- has already been paid by the Insurance Company. The parties present before this Court jointly submit that the matter has been settled between the parties and an additional amount Rs.4,50,000/- as full and final settlement has been agreed upon. In view of the above, the appeal stands closed with a direction that the Insurance Company shall deposit the amount of Rs.4,50,000/- being the full and final settlement before MACT, Morigaon within a period of 45 days from today. Page No.# 3/3 The claimant no.1 would be at liberty to withdraw the aforesaid amount on being properly identified by her learned counsel.
