Judgment
ORDER Date : 23-10-2024 Heard Mr. B.K. Das, learned counsel for the petitioner; Ms. S. Baruah, learned Central Government for the respondent nos. 1, 3 & 4; and Ms. M. Barman, learned Junior Government Advocate, Assam for the respondent nos. 5 & 6. The petitioner had preferred this writ petition with a grievance that the petitioner's son, Sri Ayush Sabat was not issued an Aadhaar Card despite his Page No.# 3/3 enrollment and capture of his biometrics by the Unique Identification Authority of India on 11.06.2019. It is submitted by Mr. Das, learned counsel for the petitioner and endorsed by Ms. Baruah, learned CGC that during the pendency of the writ petition, the Aadhaar Card has been issued to the petitioner's son, Sri Ayush Sabat and as such, the writ petition can be closed as the cause of action on which the writ petition was preferred, has not survived. As an Aadhaar Card has already been issued in the name of the petitioner's son, Sri Ayush Sabat, this writ petition stands closed.
