ORDER

14.09.2024 The appeal has been filed by the appellant-claimant against the judgment and award dated 07.11.2023 passed by the Learned Member, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Goalpara in MAC Case No. 15/2022 praying for enhancement of the awarded amount of Rs.8,65,000/-.

¶2Shri A. Munin Choudhury, Regional Manager of the United India Insurance Company Ltd. (for short Insurance Company) and the claimant no. 1 – Muslim Ali along with his learned counsel, Shri S. Rahman are present today i.e.,

14.09.2024 in the National Lok Adalat.

¶3It is submitted that an amount of Rs.9,30,675/- was deposited by the Insurance Company which has also been withdrawn by the claimant.

¶4The parties present before this Court jointly submit that the matter has been settled between the parties and an additional amount of Rs.1,40,000/- has been agreed upon.

¶5In view of the above, the appeal stands closed with a direction that the Page No.# 3/3 Insurance Company shall deposit the additional amount of Rs.1,40,000/- being the full and final settlement before the Registry of this Court within a period of 45 days from today.

¶6The claimant no. 1 would be at liberty to withdraw the aforesaid amount on being properly identified by his learned counsel. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
