Heard Mr. P. K. Munir, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner. Ms. S. Baruah, the learned counsel appears on behalf of the Union of India as well as the Distinct Administration and Mr. J. Roy, the learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. B. P. Sarma, the learned counsel appears on behalf of the respondent Nos.3 & 4.

¶2The petitioner herein has approached this Court seeking a direction for release of the compensation amount in his favour to the tune of Rs.13,66,729/- along with interest at the rate of 6% Page No.# 3/3 per annum since the time the compensation amount was due for payment.

¶3Mr. J. Roy, the learned senior counsel submitted that the said amount of Rs.13,66,729/- has already been paid to the petitioner through bank transfer and the same is evident from the documents so placed before this Court during the course of the hearing. He further submitted that the petitioner has also executed an affidavit in that regard about his satisfaction with the amount. In addition to that, there is also an undertaking-cum-declaration being given by the petitioner.

¶4The above documents so place are collectively kept on record and marked with the letter "X".

¶5Taking into account the above, nothing further remains in the instant writ petition for which the same stands close.
