¶1This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.93/2013 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Nanakpura. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably and the petitioner and Respondent No.2 are living together in the matrimonial home.
¶2Respondent No.2 is present before the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from her whether the matter has been settled with the petitioner amicably without fear and CRL.M.C. 3029/2016 pressure. She has stated that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure and she is living in the matrimonial home since March, 2016.
¶3Since the matter has been settled between the parties and respondent No.2 is residing with the petitioner in the matrimonial home, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to maintain their matrimonial relations, FIR No.93/2013 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Nanakpura and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.
¶4The petition is disposed of accordingly.
