ORDER

18.11.2011 By this petition the Petitioner seeks extension of parole on the ground that he is unwell and his condition is very critical. On a notice being issued a verification report has been received. Two specific queries were put to the doctor as to the nature of treatment and illness of the Petitioner and the period of treatment. Dr. Suresh Kumar, Professor, Department of Medicine, M.A.M. College and Lok Nayak Hospitals, New Delhi has replied that as regards Query No. 1 the patient Manbir Singh, aged about 73 years is suffering from diabetes mellitus which is uncontrolled and very high blood pressure with W.P.(CRL) 1549/2011 old stroke. He is also suffering from osteoarthritis. He was admitted for above illness and requires regular treatment. As regard reply to Query No.2 as to the period of treatment it is stated that it is a lifelong for diabetes and hypertension and for CV A. In view of the fact that the problems of the Petitioner only relate to uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, high blood pressure and osteoarthritis which can be taken care in the Jail also, I do not find any ground to extend the parole of the Petitioner. Petition is dismissed.
