¶5I am of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served in prosecuting the FIR any further on the ground that the parties have arrived at a voluntary settlement and settled their disputes.

¶6I am convinced that quashing of such proceedings on account of compromise would bring about peace and would secure ends of justice. The Court does not see any fruitful purpose if criminal proceedings as permitted to continue any further. It is a fit case for quashing. In this view of the matter, there is no reason to continue the proceedings.

¶7For the aforesaid reasons, FIR No. 227/2017 dated 20.05.2017 filed u/s 498A/406/34 of IPC registered at PS Maurya Enclave and proceedings emanating therefrom is hereby quashed.
