¶1This is a writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following reliefs :- "A. Issue writ order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the Respondent no. 1&2 to accept the admission of the petitioner's ward Shivangi in Goodley Public School, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi since their name appeared in the draw of lots held on 31-05-2024. B. Issue any other writ, order or direction as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper under the facts and circumstances of the case Petitioner. C. Award cost of the petition to the Petitioners...."

¶3The Court intended to take on record the mechanism and policy under which the Directorate of Education seeks to implement the admission of the EWS students. The same has also been so done.

¶4For the said reasons, nothing survives in the present writ petition.

¶5Since the validity of the policy is not in question, no opinion has been expressed thereupon.
