¶1Petitioner seeks quashing of case FIR No. 444/2014 of PS South Campus for offence under Section 354D/506 IPC on merits.

¶2The allegations levelled in the impugned FIR being highly obnoxious and heinous, inherent powers cannot be invoked to quash the FIR. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that the complainant de facto had granted no objection certificate to the present petitioner way back in November 2024 regarding the impugned FIR. In this regard, learned counsel for petitioner refers to order dated 29.10.2025 of the trial court. But that order also does not show that it is the complainant de facto who made such statement before the trial court; and it is only some proxy counsel before the trial court who This is a digitally signed order. stated that the complainant de facto is ready to cooperate with the present petitioner to file quashing petition before this court. In other words, presently there is nothing to show that the quashing is sought on the basis of settlement between the petitioner and the complainant de facto.

¶3Further, what happened in the trial court after 29.10.2025 has not been revealed by either side. Even the IO/SI Sanyukta is completely unaware as to what is the status before the trial court.

¶4At this stage, learned counsel for petitioner seeks permission to withdraw this petition. As requested, the petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
