¶1The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent/Election Commission of India (ECI) to approve the name of the political party 'Majdoor Kisan Naujawan Party' and issue the notice for mandatory publication of public notice in the newspapers and to complete the registration of the process of the political party in an expeditious manner.

¶2Counsel appearing on behalf of respondent/ECI submits that out of the affidavits of the list of members furnished by the petitioner, verification of 19 members has been carried out. One of the members could not be verified as she has expired.

¶3Counsel for ECI further submits that verification in respect of one other member shall be carried out within 15 days from today. Thereupon, the respondent/ECI shall expeditiously carry forth the process of approval of This is a digitally signed order.
