O R D E R

Date : 09.12.2024.

None appears for the petitioner on call. This writ petition has been filed praying for a direction to the respondent authorities for payment of outstanding bill amount of Rs.8,20,000/- (Rupees eight lakh twenty thousand) only, due to the petitioner for hiring of his boat. Mr. S.R. Boruah, learned State Counsel by placing a communication dated

23.12.2019, submits that the petitioner is entitled to an amount of Rs.7,25,132/- (Rupees seven lakh twenty five thousand one hundred thirty two) only, which has been sanctioned for payment to the petitioner, against the hiring charge bills submitted by the petitioner. Another amount of Rs.33,579/- (Rupees thirty three thousand five hundred seventy nine) only has also been sanctioned. Both the sanctions have been granted on 13.06.2019 and 13.09.2019. Having considered that the claim of the petitioner is for an amount of Rs.8,20,000/- (Rupees eight lakh twenty thousand) only and the amount admitted comes to total amount of Rs.7,92,290/- (Rupees seven lakh ninety two thousand two hundred ninety) only, which is as near as claimed by the petitioner and considering that none represented the petitioner, which indicates that the petitioner might have already received the payment, as the respondents have admitted the amount, as noted here-in-above, I deem it Page No.# 3/3 appropriate to close the writ petition. Accordingly, present writ petition is disposed of by providing that the respondent authorities shall release the admitted amount by them, as indicated here-in-above, if not already paid to the petitioner. A copy of the instruction placed by the learned State Counsel be kept in the record and marked as 'X'.
