06/12/2024 Heard Ms. B Goswami, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. K K Parashar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam for the State respondent. This application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 has been filed by the petitioner, namely, Sri Prasanta Kalita, seeking bail in Gorchuk P.S. Case No. 300/2024 registered under Sections Page No.# 2/2 331(6)/309(4) of the BNS, 2023 read with Section 25(1-A) of the Arms Act, wherein he was arrested on 28.09.2024 and is in custody since then. During the deliberation of the matter, Mr. Parashar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam, on instructions submitted that police after completion of investigation of the case has already submitted charge-sheet in the said Gorchuk P.S. Case No. 300/2024 vide Charge-Sheet No. 233/2024 dated 23.11.2024. In view of the above, the petitioner may approach the appropriate forum for his regular bail in said Gorchuk P.S. Case No. 300/2024. With the above observation and direction, this bail application stands disposed of.
