None appears for the petitioners, on call. However, Mr. R. Dhar, learned Addl. Senior Government Advocate, is present on behalf of the State Respondents.

The grievance raised by the petitioners in the present proceeding, is to the extent that in the recruitment process for Class-IV and Class-III posts initiated vide the advertisements, in question; there was no provision made for reservation of the posts for persons with disabilities.

The State Respondents through the Secretary, State Level Recruitment Commission(SLRC) for Class-III posts; had filed an affidavit-in-opposition in the matter and therein, had brought on record, the materials to demonstrate that the reservation for persons with disabilities along with the mandated reservations, were duly provided for in the said recruitment process.

The said affidavit-in-opposition also highlights the steps taken by the respondent authorities for facilitating the persons with visual impairment to take the said examination by taking help from the scribes.

In view of the above position and the disclosure made in the said affidavit-in-opposition as far back as on 31.10.2022, and there being no affidavit-in-reply to the said affidavit-in-opposition disputing the contentions made therein; this Court is of the considered view that no further consideration of this writ petition is called for and accordingly, the writ petition stands closed.
