¶1Heard.

¶2The petitioner claims that the electricity connection was permanently disconnected on 12.08.1998, therefore, no electricity bill can be raised for the subsequent period as is being done.

¶3We have perused the earlier order dated 27.01.2023 passed in Writ C No. 649 of 2023.

¶4Submission is that the petitioner has approached the opposite party no. 3 but no decision has been taken as yet.

¶5Ms. Aparajita Bansal, learned counsel for the Electricity Department says that if there were dues at the time of permanent disconnection then those dues had to be paid failing which surcharge would be imposed on the said dues. This is what appears to be the matter.

¶6Be that as it may, the opposite party no. 3 should give it in writing to the petitioner as to what are the nature of dues being claimed from him and explain it to the petitioner as to how it is being claimed so that he may, if aggrieved, challenge it. Let the opposite party no. 3 decide the petitioner's application within three weeks.
